Will the extracted text keep the PDF formatting?
TXT is plain text, so it doesn’t preserve layout, fonts, or page formatting. It will keep line breaks and paragraphs when possible.
Does it work with scanned PDFs?
Yes. If the PDF is a scan (images), OCR can be used to recognize the text and convert it to TXT. Results depend on scan quality.
Why do I see an OCR option in the sidebar?
When a PDF is detected as non-searchable, OCR may be needed to extract text. You can enable it to force recognition when necessary.
Will the TXT include all the text from the PDF?
Usually yes, but it depends on the source: selectable text is extracted fully; for scans, OCR may miss parts if the image is blurry or heavily compressed.
Does the tool extract tables and columns too?
TXT is not ideal for tables: rows and columns can be flattened into plain text. If you need tables, try PDF → Excel for better results.
Are my files stored?
No. Files are processed automatically to generate the output and enable download. You don’t need to install anything, and you can delete the file when you’re done.
